Personal Opinion on Suzuki Gixxer SF 150

The mileage and power are both excellent. The cost of spare parts and maintenance is inexpensive. The chain sprocket has a 30-kilometer life span. The power and handling are fantastic. Breaking is a lot of fun. I used to own a single-channel ABS with a fuel injector. The engine also has been fine-tuned.

The riding experience in city traffic is smooth and comfortable, and on highways, the bike performs admirably up to 100 mph, and the engine cools down quickly, as I rode this bike for 210 kilometers without stopping. In high-speed rides, the gear shifting is seamless, and the engine sound is equally smooth. This provides up to 47-50 km/lt on the highway and 43-45 km/lt in the city. The engine oil and servicing should be replaced every 3000-4000 kilometers, or until the engine oil is absolutely smooth. Cons – The view mirrors, which cannot be used in traffic, as well as the lengthy and back suspension, which may be improved for long drives, are my main concerns.

Is Gixxer SF 150 for long drives?

What I personally think is that Gixxer is not perfect for long drives as seating is very uncomfortable for long journeys. This resulted in back pain, neck pain, and wrist pain. Otherwise, this bike is meant for economical rides.

When we are comparing these two loved models of bike, we have to look after two major elements: comfort and speed. These two give a proper definition of what a bike should look like.


Almost every potential buyer intends to use these bikes daily. On weekdays, they’ll be used to commute to a college or the office, and on weekends, they’ll be utilized to get corn on the cob from a local hill station. A combination of a pleasant and sporty ride is right up there on the list of expectations for these uncomplicated motorcycles. Both use a telescopic fork and a mono-shock for suspension, as well as single downtube diamond frames to do this. Gixxer SF 150 also have 17-inch wheels with MRF 100/80-17 front and rear tires and 140/60-R17 rear tires. As a result, their rides are very similar. How the bikes move and how they come to a stop are two critical factors that have yet to be addressed. Let’s start with the latter — after all, safety comes first! For starters, both come standard with single-channel ABS and rear disc brakes in all models. Both firms’ previous-generation cars included obsolete rear drum-brake options, which we’re glad they’ve ditched. At both ends, the disc brakes are of identical size, and the calipers are made by ByBre. The calibration on the FZ, on the other hand, is far more effective and confident-inspiring. It has a more powerful bite and more modulation. In our tests, the Yamaha took 16.71 seconds to come to a stop from 60 kph, while the Suzuki took 16.89 seconds.



When it comes to ‘going,’ however, the Gixxer outperforms the FZ-S in every regard. Before we get started, I’d want to inform you that both new iterations are slower than the originals.

In the drive for more economy, Yamaha elected to lower the power on the FZ with the version 2 model, and that state of tune continues here. So, why has the Gixxer’s strength dwindled? That’s another thing altogether. This, according to Suzuki, is due to improvements made in preparation for the future BS6 emission standards. The FZ delivers 13.2 horsepower and 12.8 pound-feet of torque in its present configuration, while the Gixxer produces 14.1 horsepower and 14 pound-feet of torque. While a 0.9hp and 1.2Nm torque difference may not seem like much, consider how it affects performance metrics.

The Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 accelerates from zero to sixty kilometers per hour in 5.47 seconds, whereas the Yamaha FZ-S takes 5.63 seconds. The FZ-S takes 19.11 seconds to reach 100 kph, whereas the Gixxer takes only 17.45 seconds. The older-generation Gixxer SF 150, on the other hand, did it in 15.54 seconds. Even yet, the Suzuki is not only faster, but it’s also more tuned and happy at higher rpm. Beyond 6,000rpm, the vibrations on the FZ-S become much more noticeable. However, it is as smooth underneath that.
